Crime rates are a problem in many of the larger cities. NJ has two cities that are among those with the top ten crime rates inn their size category. To Pino Gris or Not to...
A few friends, with excellent wine tasting abilities, and I tasted a few Pinot Gris (blind) from around the world. We tasted the Santa Margherita, another Italian from Collio, one from Alsace, one from Carneros, CA, and the 2008 Bellview Pinot Grigio from New Jersey’s Outer Coastal Coastal Plain AVA. The Bellview from New Jersey, came out on top.
Intensely fragrant Viognier
The Viognier grape is actually one of the most intensely fragrant varieties. Tasting this wine is a real pleasure. It is dry, but not bone dry. All the fruitiness gives a mellow and sweetish impression. The wine is best described as having a medium weight in your mouth and it is mouth-filling. The balance is very fine and although Viognier wines never nearly have the racy acidity of a Riesling, this wine cleans up your palate (done mostly by the acidity in a wine) quite nicely. It feels smooth and well balanced and tastes flavorfully. It has a nice long finish. It has 12.5% alcohol just like a classical European food wine, making it perfect to have a glass or two with dinner.

“Clinicians should now feel pretty comfortable prescribing gentle Hatha Yoga for their patients,” said Karen Mustian, lead author of the study and assistant professor in the department of radiation oncology and preventive medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Hatha Yoga describes any of the physical practices of Yoga such as stretching and relaxation techniques. One such patient is David Goldberg, a 30-year-old computer programmer and recreational athlete who recently learned that he has leukemia. A patient at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, he takes part in 20-minute sessions in his hotel room. Somewhat skeptical at first, he now looks forward to his series of slow, gentle stretches, beginning with his feet and ending in his shoulders, followed by guided breathing instructions that encourage him to let go

Regulatory Deadline for Contractors

An important step towards reducing recidivism in NJ's corrections system
The legislation (A4202 and A4197) would give ex-offenders a chance at avoiding the vicious cycle of recidivism. The legislation allows ex-offenders to receive welfare benefits and require most inmates to receive job training and high school educations while behind bars. The third bill (A4201) would ensure inmates receive copies of personal documents like birth certificates upon release.

Over the past decade or so, Network Plus has served thousands of professionals most of whom it has not been able to retain as regular members. Network Plus Pro’s challenge is going to be in reaching this group of potential members who think highly of Founder Ted Fattoross but have not stuck with the organization. Time will tell if Network Plus is able to reach and re-energizing these former members. If successful in this, the organization could well become a Networking phenomenon through a program of steady sustained growth in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Once it has done so, many other opportunities and regions will beckon.
